Alpine Presbytery is a part of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand (PCANZ) – is a grouping of all former South Island Presbyteries north of the Waitaki River, which also includes the West Coast UDC. The name unites us together, in that every former Presbytery in our region has mountain ranges within it, with the main divide joining us together. The image of a braided river representing our congregations describes unity, diversity, with each “braid” being honoured and cherished.

Presbyterian Women Aotearoa New Zealand (PWANZ) is a national organisation which has the distinction of having Special Consultative Status as a Non-Governmental organisation with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), since 1998.
Particular emphasis is placed upon the roles of women to promote their voice and leadership within the church and the wider community. Through ecumenical co-operation, an annual mission project is supported by Presbyterian Women and Methodist Women's Fellowship (MWF) groups. |
