APW - a group for all women
The APW (Association of Presbyterian Women) is a group for all women, who meet once a month - usually on the third Wednesday at 2.00pm. On an average month about 35 women meet - for a speaker, to hear about women's work in the Church beyond Cashmere, and to enjoy each others company.
The APW support projects in the community and beyond including Cholmondeley Children's Home in Governors Bay, mission work overseas, ministry students, Holly House for young mothers, hospital chaplaincy and Turakina Maori Girls College.
Fellowship Group
The Evening Group is for ladies, and meets once a month, on a Wedneday evening, usually at the home of a member of the congregation. A wide variety of topics and themes are covered. All ladies are welcome.
TradeAid
Cashmere Hills is a "Fair Trade" church, supporting the work of Trade Aid and Christian World Service as they work to ensure that a fair price is paid to producers of goods such as tea, coffee, cocoa and herbs.
Trade Aid goods are available to buy through the Church, with a stall at least once a month.
Choir
Twice a year a choir is formed to prepare special music for Easter and Christmas. Practices are held for approximately six weeks before presentation.
Pre-School Music Group
Every Monday morning during school terms a group of mothers with pre-school children hires the Church Lounge to offer music to their children and enjoy each others company. (Note: this is not a Church group, but please feel free to ask the Church Office for the current contact details for this group.)
