Christchurch Parents Centre is a volunteer organisation run by parents for parents.
They are part of a national organisation and are one of over 50 centres nationwide. They have been supporting parents in our community for over 60 years. Antenatal and Parent Education classes are held at the Cashmere Presbyterian Centre. |
Aspiehelp/The Aspire Trust are a "Social-Work-based support service for people affected by Asperger Syndrome", in other words, our support staff all have Asperger Syndrome themselves
Their mission is "to provide a range of effective services focused on enhancing assistance, awareness and inclusion for people affected by Asperger Syndrome". |
The Cashmere Residents Emergency Support Team (CREST) has been established to provide a community hub as a safe place to share information and help with assistance during a disaster.
The hub will be activated at Cashmere Presbyterian Church, corner of Dyers Pass Road and Macmillan Avenue. Resources will include a portable generator. Keep in touch at www.facebook.com/CRESTCashmere?mibextid=ZbWKwL. It’s timely to be thinking about how we would share information and look after each other during a community emergency. The Government's Get ready website has information to help you plan and prepare. |
