Philippians 2:1-11
John 12: 20-33

​In our John text today Jesus says ‘unless a kernel of wheat falls in the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies it produces many seeds.’ Service is a clear and repeating biblical theme - what does it mean to die to personal ambition and live for the needs of others? And what determines whether that service will be life-giving?
