Sunday 7th April 2024 Readings: John 20:19-31 1 Peter 1:3-9 We gather as people on a journey. We believe and we have doubts, We are imperfect humans, yet still beloved by God. Love and grace. Hope and faith. These are at the core of the one we call God. We yearn for a deeper understanding, and new perspectives, Though we have our faith and we have our doubt, we are here. Speak to us, God! Continue creating us! Inspire our hearts. Enlighten our minds. Guide our actions. The reading from John today introduces us to “Doubting Thomas” – but is this emphasis on his doubt and the implication that it is at odds with faith to deal with Thomas unkindly? Can doubt be a pathway to a strong, tested faith? Hamish explores these and other questions in today’s sermon, which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/6EdBtvT966A
